The scapular of the Holy Face is a small picture of that adorable Face, printed upon linen, which the faithful wear from devotion, as a testimony of love towards our Lord and a preservative against temptations and the dangers of the soul and body.

It may be fastened upon the scapular of our Lady of mount Carmel or upon any other which is worn; it is not necessary to have recourse to a priest in order to receive it, and there is no liturgical form to be complied with; when taking it to wear, no other obligation is contracted than that of wearing it in a spirit of faith and of reparation. It is a small copy of the veil of Saint Veronica which has touched the great relic at Rome.
