God, the Son, Redeemer of the world,

Jesus, whoso Face didst shine like the sun,

Jesus, who didst prostrate Thyself upon Thy Face,

Jesus, whose Face was  bathed in a bloody sweat,

Jesus, betrayed by the kiss of Judas,

Jesus, who was looked upon as a leper,

Jesus, whose Face we behold with joy,

Jesus, whose eyes observe those who do evil,

Jesus, who causest to shine upon us the light of Thy Face,

Jesus, whose head is of most pure gold,

Jesus, whose lips distil an excellent myrrh,

Jesus, in whose eyes the heavens are not pure,

witnesses of our tears,

Jesus, whose eyes rest upon those that love Thee,

Be merciful unto us, pardon us, Jesus.

From all evil, deliver us, Jesus.

From sudden and unprovided death,

From eternal damnation,

By the mystery of Thy holy Incarnation,

By Thy glorious Transfiguration,

By Thy tears,

By Thy bloody sweat,

By the blows Thou didst receive,

By Thy crown of thorns,

At the day of judgment,

We sinners beseech Thee, hear us.

That being dead to sin, we may live to justice, we beseech Thee.

Having sullied in the flesh, arm us with the same thought, we beseech Thee.

Grant that we may apply ourselves to know nothing, save Jesus crucified, we beseech Thee.

Having taken part in Thy sufferings grant us a share in Thy consolations, we beseech Thee.

Grant us to see Thee, face to face, in heaven, we beseech Thee.

Son of God, hear us.

Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world, spare us, Jesus.

Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world, graciously hear us, Jesus.

Lamb of God who takest away the sins of the world, have mercy on us, Jesus.

R. And let all who hate him, flee from before his Face.
