One of the building components which will give character to our new Chapel of the Holy Face is the pink stone from the local quarry in Alexandria from whence came the stone of which St. Mary’s Church across the street was built. Within the past month, this unlikely dream has developed into more than just a dream. With the help of God, it seems that the new owner of the quarry to the West of our monastery is willing to donate all the stone that will be needed for this project.

We need to continue to pray that workers will be found who know how to cut the stone according to this type of skill set and that our generous benefactor will be blessed as he continues to work with us towards the completion of the Chapel in honor of the Holy Face of Jesus.
